Past Exhibition: Zombie Carnival

Zombies will be here, there and everywhere walking the streets of Dublin on July 23rd. In collaboration with the Dublin Zombie Walk the Clyne Gallery will host an exhibition, (The Zombie Carnival) of portraits: paintings, drawings, and sculpture in the spirit of the walking dead procession. Profits will be donated th the Irish Cancer Society and RNLI as the chosen charities of the Dublin Zombie Walk 2011.

The exhibition opens on Friday 15th July and runs to 26th July. The Zombie Carnival party will take place in the Clyne Gallery on Thursday 21st July from 6pm to 10pm. €4 suggested donation. The party will have ghoulish gourmet delights, live (Dead?) music, presentation of prizes for best Zombie art work, and a wicked Dead-Man’s Punch to kick the life back into you. You can also have a Zombie makeover, or book to have your Zombie caricature done from a photograph. So bring a few x-tra Euro to join in the fun!

FILM NIGHT: ‘Night of the Living Dead’ ,special screenings of the black and white original movie.

To continue with the Zombie theme, Clyne Gallery will metamorphose into an intimate film theatre on Friday 22nd July @ 7.30pm and @ 9.30pm. to show the ‘Night of the Living Dead’ . The film will be introduced by novelist, playwright and script writer Paddy Kelly. Tickets ( €8 to include refreshments) from Clyne Gallery on a first come basis by email to Tickets will need to be collected from the gallery on receipt of payment and a copy of the confirmation email.

Only 30 tickets are available for each screening so please book early to avoid disappointment.
